Our seakayak symposium Erik the Red has gained it's status as the biggest single happening in Icelandic seakayaking each year with guests from abroad, courses, trips, talks and the sprint competition.
This year there will be a slight change because the symposium has moved to Neskaupssašur on the east coast and on that occasion it will be named after Egill the Red who first settled in the fiord.
Everyone is welcome to attend Erik the Red, the slightly curious one as well as those that have been owned by seakayaking for longer or shorter periods of theyr lives.
No entrance fee is to the symposium and trips in accordance with it but we do take a modes fee for the courses and equipment wich may be rented at the spot.
Our guests for 2008 are Nigel Foster and Freyja Hoffmeister.
The symposium will be held 6th till 8t of June this summer
